Interviewing a Fraud Suspect
Adjusters know that not all claims made are honest. An experienced adjuster also knows that they will often have to interview those they believe to be attempting fraud. In the case where the insured or claimant is suspected of fraud, interview techniques should be modified from those used in an apparently honest claim. There are a number of principles and approaches that can be followed in order to use the interview to help prove a fraudulent claim has been made.
