Types of Insurance Fraud
Insurance fraud comes in many varieties, although it does seem to be more prevalent in some lines of insurance than others. For example, auto insurance has had a high level of fraud, perhaps because of the large number of relatively small claims that must be processed within a short period of time. More recently, focus seems to have shifted to workers’ compensation, Medicare, Medicaid, health insurance, and property insurance fraud.
