Insurance 101 – Volume 61 – The Claims Made Policy

The Claims Made Policy

The claims made Commercial General Liability policy, ISO form  G 00 02, is less popular and much more restrictive than the occurrence form CG 00 01. With this form, coverage is triggered by the actual filing date or receipt of the claim, in addition to the date or period of time in which the loss or injury occurs. This form handles any covered loss or claim filed during the policy period, regardless of when the actual loss or injury occurred.

The following video was adapted from my book, “Insurance Claims A Comprehensive Guide” Published by the National Underwriter Company and is available at the Zalma Insurance Claims Library.
