More on Additional Insureds

Under one standard AI coverage, the additional insured is covered for nothing but its vicarious liability for the acts and omissions of the named insured, even though the language of the AI endorsement does not compel or even permit such a result.

In National Union Fire Insurance Company Of Pittsburgh, PA, Respondent v. URS Corporation, Defendant, the New York Court of Appeals found a need to provide a defense to an additional insured.
