Claims Persons Must Understand Underwriting

It is an essential part of the claims process to confirm or refute the truth of the representations made by the insured at the time the policy was acquired. It is also essential that the underwriter learn of changes in the risk that may change the risk of loss the underwriter believed he or she was taking at the time the policy was acquired.
