Time Limits on Rescission

The California Court of Appeal, in Resure, Inc. v. Superior Court (Palmer), 42 Cal. App. 4th 156, 49 Cal. Rptr. 2d 354 (1996), held that Section 650 of the Insurance Code was enacted as part of the Civil Code  by the twentieth session of the Legislature in 1874.51 In 1935, it was  transferred to the newly established Insurance Code where it has remained unchanged in all pertinent respects.
