More on Conducting the EUO

A good interviewer will sell the need for truth. It may be that the witness who tells the truth faces a possible criminal prosecution for fraud. Security or social standing may be in jeopardy. Despite these facts, the interviewer must convince the witness that it is to his or her advantage to give a voluntary, trustworthy, and complete statement.
