Ending the Interview

Each of the approaches identified above can be used alone or in combination. Each will take at least 15 to 30 minutes to develop. There is no limit to how long the interviewer should take to complete an investigation or employ an approach to obtain the truth. The interviewer should never set a time limit. The interview should be as long as necessary for the interviewer to get the information without becoming confrontational with the witness.
