Insurance Claims Interviews are Not Interrogations

Insurance claims interviews borrow much from the art of interrogation used by police and intelligence agencies. Regardless, it is improper for an insurer or its representatives to use the type of techniques used by interrogators. It is important, therefore, that the claims investigator have some background in interrogation so that the techniques can be used, when appropriate, and avoided when not.
