Reviewing the Estimates

After the estimates are completed, the adjuster must review and compare the estimates prepared by the contractors with the estimate written by the insured. The result of the adjuster’s work is called a “bid comparison.” The bid comparison is usually created on a spreadsheet so that the prices estimated by each contractor for each category of work listed on the scope may be compared.
