Insurance 101 – Chapter 15 – Volume 9 – Padding & False Swearing

Padding & False Swearing

Padding appears to be more prevalent in states that have unlimited  access to the tort system for auto accident cases, and no fault states that have a dollar threshold for bodily injury claims before a lawsuit can be filed. States that detail the kind and severity of injuries that must be  sustained before a lawsuit can be filed seem to have more padding of medical claims to bring a minor accident past the threshold for filing suit with padded billing.
