Gather Background Information

Interview the sales agent or broker. The interview should be limited to the sales agent’s knowledge of the people involved in the claim. The investigator can also take advice from the sales agent on how best to deal with those involved  throughout the investigation. A complete insurance fraud investigation always includes a recorded statement of the agent or broker.
