Insurance 101 – Chapter 15 – Volume 69 – The IME


An independent medical evaluation (IME) can be a valuable tool in assessing patients who are suspected of presenting a false or fraudulent claim for injury. An IME provides a detailed history of the claimant and can be compared to previous medical records by other  health care providers.
